Who says you can’t have amazing flavour on a budget?

This is a family fave and as steak has been on sale a lot recently, this is an ideal dinner that your post-high school student can make. All the ingredients are items that are on hand, and there are only 5!

Super quick, uber easy with a ton of flavor. I have this at home with my family and they always want more. I actually make a bit more sauce because yup, it is just that good!

When you (or your kid) sees steak on sale, usually there are 2 per tray. If this is the case, let them know that he/she should cook one, then package the other to freeze on a different night. OR another option. cook up both and have enough for left overs-it is just as good the next day to reheat in the nuker.

The first thing to do is cook the rice as per the package directions. Then follow along with the recipe below.

Want to add a veg? Steam some broccoli and have alongside the beef and rice on the side.

Korean Beef

Ingredients
  

  • cup Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Sirloin Steak, or any other steak on sale-cut in thin strips

Instructions
 

  • Add all sauce ingredients. Add steak strips and let sit for 20 minutes.
  • Add beef + sauce to fry pan (or wok if you have one) on medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
  • Serve the beef over rice.
