If you know, then you know.
Slow cooking is brilliant-with the right recipe. I have tried many different slow cooker recipes for my family and many times, they have told me NEVER to make it again. Why? Slow cooking requires liquid and as a result, meat tends to get boiled rather than cooked. It’s the moist heat that throws my family off. Boiled meat has little flavor and although tender, for the most part, it is wet.
Chicken in the crockpot can be tender and tasty and I have made the mistake of cooking chicken with the skin on. The result?Soggy skin.
Through trial and tribulation, I have continued to experiment with recipes because prepping a meal for 5 minutes and having it ready whenever I want to eat is just too appealing. Seriously….I craved to throw a few ingredients in crockpot in the morning and eat by 6pm.
Here is one of the best chicken recipes that is perfect-quick to prepare, ready in 4 of 8 hours with only 5 ingredients.
