Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup White sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl or in a mixer, cream butter and suger until smooth.
  • Beat in Vanilla and egg.
  • In a seperate bowl, combine baking powder adn salt with flour.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture a little at a time.
  • Divide the dough into 2-3 chunks. Roll out the dough on floured surface. Use your cookie cutters to make cookie shapes, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Bake in oven for 6-8 minutes. Let cool on the cookie sheet, transfer to cooling rack.
